FAQ

Weight loss questions, answered

Will I be prescribed a GLP-1 medication?

Not automatically. A licensed provider reviews your health history, goals and any contraindications, then decides whether tirzepatide, semaglutide, a lower-dose strategy, or no medication is appropriate for you.

What side effects are possible?

GLP-1 medications commonly cause nausea, constipation, diarrhea, reduced appetite and stomach discomfort, especially early on. Rare but serious risks include pancreatitis and gallbladder problems. Your provider reviews your risks and explains what to watch for.

Are these medications FDA-approved?

Mendoxa prescriptions are compounded by Rush Pharmacy for individual patients. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished products and may not be FDA-approved for all uses. Your provider discusses alternatives with you.

Which states do you serve?

Mendoxa serves 49 U.S. states. We do not serve California.

What is the GLP-1 microdose path?

It is a separate intake for people who want a lower-intensity GLP-1 approach. The provider decides the dose strategy, if any. Read more about the microdose path.
